Are you shifting from one season of your life to another and thinking more and more about retirement?
You may be already retired, close to retired, or simply aware and want to start planning for it. The traditional concept of retirement is usually associated with slowing down and exiting the workforce. The fear for many is that they have not gotten their financial act together but more than that they fear the irrelevance that comes with this so-called “Retirement”.
You may be asking yourself – Who am I without my professional identity? What do I do when I no longer can or want to run this business? I want to leave the corporate world in the next few years but have no idea how I will do it and what to do? If I do not have that monthly income how do I survive and am I financially ready? I am retired and feeling lost? My pension is not or will not be enough and I am worried? I have financial assets all over the place and do not know how to make them work for me? What will be my legacy? Maybe you have also been forced into retirement through retrenchment or other life circumstances. These types of conversations are what have led to the creation of the Centonomy Gold program.
Retirement in our opinion is not an age. You may be in your forties and want to transition. Or in your fifties approaching retirement and unsure about the journey beyond. You could be older and officially retired but know there is a lot more to figure out and learn. We have created a safe space to have these conversations with people who have the insights, expertise, experiences and can relate to what you are going through.
You probably find yourself Seeking Purpose, wanting to Accelerate your financial status, and craving Sustainability. Money is a key focus in the program be we want you to figure out your life holistically. Retirement according to us does not mean you stop working. In fact, a term we interchangeably use in this program is Transition. It may mean you exit active employment or work differently but it really is the season in which you get to Reinvent yourself. You are the designer of your own life. Think about it like building a company called Me Ltd.
Your job is now this business and you are the CEO.
- What do you retire into? is what we seek to coach you to answer. A world of opportunity still exists when you learn to see yourself differently. This program will get to identify the diamond in your career experiences and know-how to package them and even make them work for you financially.
- What do you truly want to do and value going forward? You know all those things you have been waiting for the right moment and perfect financial situation to do? We will have conversations that help you dig up these things and do them. Let’s ask why not? If not now when? What are the things you are also holding onto that you need to release?
- How do I plan my finances so that they can support the specific lifestyle I want to have? This is no longer about ad hoc savings and investments. It is about being intentional. Making a plan to accelerate your investments so that you can live how you would want to live? How do I plan for the big expenses that may be still coming my way e.g. school fees? How do I take care of my health and financially plan for it in this season?
- What does legacy mean to me? What impact do I want to know I have had? What do I want to do for my family, community, country etc? How do I want to arrange my assets so that I do not leave confusion and mayhem? How am I preparing my kids to continue and grow what I started?
